This Privacy Policy explains how Stepooo handles information. Stepooo is a local-first walking app created by Vladimir Vucetic. The app does not use a Stepooo backend account system, and your walk data is stored on your device.
Stepooo may store the following information locally on your device:
Because this information is stored locally, deleting the app or deleting walk data inside the app may remove it from your device. If your device or operating system creates backups, local app data may also be included in those backups according to your device settings.
Stepooo uses location permission to place your walking circle, track your active walk, record your route, calculate distance, detect when you leave the circle, and check whether your path passed through a hidden reward area. Background location may be used only while a walking session is active, so Stepooo can continue recording your walk when the app is not on screen.
Location data is stored on your device as part of your walk history. It is not uploaded to a Stepooo backend because no Stepooo backend is involved.
Stepooo may let you choose or take a photo for a share card. Those images are used locally to create the share image and are not uploaded to Stepooo. Sharing is handled by your device share sheet and the destination you choose.
If you allow notifications, Stepooo may schedule local reminders for your Daily Circle or selected mini walks. You can change notification settings in the app or in your device settings.
Stepooo Premium purchases are processed by the App Store or the relevant app marketplace and managed with RevenueCat. RevenueCat and the app marketplace may process purchase-related information such as subscription status, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, and anonymous app user identifiers. Stepooo uses this information to determine whether Premium features should be unlocked.
Stepooo may use operating-system and platform services such as maps, location permissions, notifications, app review prompts, sharing, app store purchases, and RevenueCat purchase management. These services may process data according to their own privacy practices.
Stepooo does not currently use a Stepooo analytics backend, advertising SDK, or data broker. Stepooo does not sell your personal data and does not use your app data to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
Walk data remains on your device until you delete it, clear it using development tools inside the app, or delete the app. Because Stepooo does not maintain a backend account database, Stepooo cannot remotely access, export, or delete data that exists only on your device.
Stepooo is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service connected to the app, contact us.
This Privacy Policy may be updated as Stepooo changes. The updated policy will include a new “Last updated” date.
